I cannot resist shopping the ASOS sale. Online shopping is a very dangerous hobby of mine.

Make-up Mavericks
Even though make-up artists are responsible for the execution of most of the looks that these celebrities wear, for me it is the strength of personality behind the make-up that really makes them look so dynamic.

Going Going Gone -- Summer Vacation!
Yeah! Off now for several weeks vacation!
I do have several posts planned for you in my absence...
My posts will go ahead and automatically publish themselves according to pre-planned schedule dates I've set up for them. What I wanted to let you know is that I won't be able to personally attend to any comments you may want to leave. So comments won't be showing up until I return. Please feel free to leave comments anyway :)
I'm so excited, while I won't have access to much of any online time to speak of - I do have a new iPhone 4G to play with, so that should be fun :D
Hope you're having a fantastic summer!!!
Inspiration...
Love this!

DIY - Bicycle Tool Kit Carrier
I found this fake Burberry Tartan Plaid purse at the Thrift Store on half off day so really just $2.00. It fit perfectly on the back of my bicycle. Now I have something to keep my (travel/emergency) bicycle tools in!
Now off you go and happy hunting and finding your own bag! Hint: small and cylindrical, those that are water resistant like this one are definitely fabulous.

I will be poor for the rest of the month because...
Ok, so this post has nothing to do with make-up but it does include SHOES!
...and Vivienne Westwood shoes at that.
Anyone that watched my recent video on PixiwooMadness will know that I am a sucker for a bargain.
I cannot whole heartedly say that these were that, although they were less that half price.
Original price £375
Sale Price £150
Providing I wear them 50 times they will only have cost me £3 per outing.

K by Beverley Knight
K By Beverley Knight is a brand that provides a full range of products that address all of the issues overlooked for darker skin tones.
I recently created a tutorial incorporating many of the products from this range. I was really impressed by the range of colours and although my model had a skin tone that would usually require mixing foundations, K make one that's spot on and a beautiful consistency to work with. Likewise, the pressed powder.
Both Nic and I have been impressed by the quality of the eyeshadows. The black is a real black similar to our much loved Laura Mercier Noir eyeshadow, the payoff is velvety and blends perfectly.
Other products of note, the liquid liner is so easy to apply and again it is a real black although not waterproof so if you suffer from watery eyes it's not for you.
Beverley says
“Time and time again I would find myself looking for make-up that would work for my skin – everything from bases to eye shadows and lipsticks. The choice was very limited and, like the vast majority of black and dark-skinned women, I found there wasn’t anything that provided the full spectrum of colours I needed. I was so excited to be offered the chance to work on my own range of products, introducing a home-grown brand which caters to all tones of black and asian skin.”

Tweed Rides Update
June /July Tweed Rides...
Next Canberra AU....
Otherwise the Sacramento Ride was canceled due to the very high summer heat temperatures. Ah, and I looked for photos of Minneapolis's Black & White Ride, but alas couldn't find any to share with you.
The rest of July and then August seems to be devoid of any Tweed, SearSucker or Linen Rides. However Fall will surely bring more Tweed Rides... in September there is a Winnipeg Tweed Ride planned!

Here's a special thanks to Garry who was so helpful getting the photos to me for the Sydney and Canberra Tweed Rides. He also tells me the lovely lady in the all in purple outfit (second to the last photo) was in a minor collision with a car on her way to the Tweed Ride, but still managed to look amazing!!

Spain Wins the World Cup...NYC
7/11
I'm not a huge sports person, and admittedly, I didn't watch much of the World Cup. But being that today was the big game, I headed to the Meatpacking District to watch Spain and the Netherlands duke it out over a very long brunch. As expected, the bars and restaurants in the neighborhood were alive and packed with fans (mostly of Spain), bringing an overwhelming feeling of camaraderie—and celebrating—to the streets, which I love!
Ole...ole, ole, ole! Walking down 14th Street not long after Spain's victory.

Goal!! At the restaurant during the game, Spain finally scores. Champagne for everyone!
love this! I love the colours, the layout, everything about it is so wonderful.
What do you think?
